Build the app your business needs.

Commission an iOS, Mac, Windows or web application built around your customers, team and existing systems. Start with a useful first release, with delivery and support agreed as part of the project.

Project terms and handover

You can commission an application independently of Lightbulb Partners Agent. Before building, we agree who may access your data, how ownership and licensing work, and how your team will test and accept the handover.

Custom application development

Choose the platform around the work.

These are consulting services for applications built to your brief. Availability of the separate Lightbulb Partners Agent product on each device is described on the product page.

Mobile

iOS applications

Give customers or staff a focused mobile experience for requests, site visits or approvals. Scope device access, notifications and any offline behaviour around the people using it.

Desktop / Mac

Mac desktop applications

Build a desktop workspace for specialist work, document handling or an internal tool. Agree supported Macs, local data access and how the application will be installed and updated.

Desktop / Windows

Windows desktop applications

Equip a team with an application for operational work, reporting or existing desktop systems. Define supported devices, permissions, installation and update requirements before the build.

Browser

Web applications

Build an application people can reach through a browser, from an internal workspace to a customer service. Agree account roles, hosting, integrations and the browsers it needs to support.

A project can connect more than one platform. We agree which work belongs on each, how records move between them and what happens when a connection fails.

Build, deliver, support

Plan beyond the first build.

  1. Scope a useful first release

Walk through a real task, identify its users and source systems, then agree the screens, permissions, milestones and acceptance cases.

  2. Build and test the work

Review working software with the people who will use it. Test the agreed devices, roles and failure cases before accepting the release.

  3. Deliver and hand over

Agree the hosting or distribution route, release responsibilities, signing and store accounts where needed, and the source code and operating documentation included in the handover.

  4. Scope ongoing support

Plan maintenance, fixes, dependency updates and future improvements. Support coverage, response expectations, release cadence and responsibilities are agreed separately for your application.

Before we start

Make the operating plan part of the scope.

Do we need the Lightbulb product or an AI feature?

No. You can commission a standalone application or an integration with the software you already use. If a specialist AI agent would help, we scope its job, source context and review requirements separately.

Who owns the app, data and release accounts?

We document project IP, licensing, data access, hosting and account ownership before work begins. Distribution requirements and any third-party review process are part of the release plan.

Can you maintain or improve an existing application?

We can scope work on an existing application after reviewing its code, dependencies, access and operating requirements. A proposal identifies the changes, handover and any ongoing support included.

Project enquiries

What should your application help someone do?

Tell us who will use it, which devices matter and whether you need a new build or help with an existing application. A short description is enough to start scoping.
